US Government ‘Tibet Negotiations Report’ Highlights China’s Unreasonable and Unattainable Conditions for Resumption of Dialogue October 12, 2016 Posted in News Flash By Staff Writer DHARAMSHALA: In the 14th annual report to Congress on the status of Tibet negotiations, the US government has reasserted promotion of substantive dialogue between Beijing and the Dalai Lama or his representatives as its long-standing important foreign policy objective. Noting the state of dormancy in the dialogue since 2010, the report says that the US is concerned by China’s insistence on “unreasonable and unattainable conditions in order for China to resume dialogue.” It further said, “We consider this position counter-productive and contrary to the expectations of the United States and the international community.
