Death is not an ending

"Buddhists do not consider death an ending. The end of life is not like the moment when a flame goes out or a drop of water evaporates on a hot surface. Rather, Buddhists believe that consciousness continues, carrying with it the potential derived from all those activities and actions known as Karma. Positive and negative actions determine the course of Karma. Thus, recognizing and discriminating between positive actions that will bring happiness and negative actions that will result in suffering is of tremendous importance." ~Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche.
